At the weekly game of scrounge on Wednesday, there was standing room only as the numbers exceeded the restricted amount.
However, the interchange was introduced with all bowlers enjoying the greens at some stage.On the day there were several high scores which indicated the true running green was an advantage.
The high score on the day was returned by evergreen Allan Kauffman with 48 points ahead of a consistent Greg Clymo 40.
On rink one Graham Turner continued his fine left-handed bowling to score a winning 44 points ahead of Jim Harris (35).
Rink two ended up a clear-cut victory for visitor Jerome Shaw on 46 points ahead of John van den Bosch on 40.
Russell Shawcross made it three out of three wins on rink three after recording a fine 44 points from Gayle Kerr with 36 points.
Trevor Rickard showed superb control to amass 42 points and score a comfortable victory ahead of Max Clifford on 35 points.
The game of scrounge is held on each Wednesday (weather permitting) starting at 1pm.Names to be listed prior to 12.45pm.
The conditions of play due to the COVID-19 Restrictions were going to be eased this week, however, there is some conjecture relating to the number of players on the green as well as the clubhouse numbers, this will be clarified shortly.
Club members were saddened by the passing of former member Bernie Cox last week.
Bernie was a cheerful and pleasant member and enjoyed the company of fellow bowlers.
The Sydney Swans Football Club have lost a very passionate supporter.
