SPORTING clubs across Northern Victoria are being encouraged to apply for funding to upgrade equipment, buy new uniforms, boost administration capabilities and improve training for officials.
Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said the Andrew Labor Government's program was important for all clubs in the region.
“Local sports clubs are the heart and soul of our country towns – they bring people together and create a healthy, happy and united community,” she said.
“The Sporting Club Grants Program is giving clubs the support they need to grow their ranks and help more people play the sports they love.”
“I encourage sports clubs and associations to tap in to the opportunities that these Sporting Club grants can deliver for members and the wider communities.”
