The under-18s league kicked off last Monday, with Northern Rivers playing their opening two T20 matches, claiming a 28-run win against Mallee in the opening game.

Northern Rivers continued their form with a round two win against Waves to the tune of 44 runs, with Martin again a strong performer with 22 not out.
After two scheduled games on Tuesday were abandoned, Rivers returned to action on Wednesday, going down to Barwon by just nine runs.
On Thursday, in the first of two matches, the side cruised to a comfortable seven-wicket win against Spirit and Kyabram’s Anthony DePasquale was in the thick of the action taking three catches.

But it would not be enough to make a major difference, with Spirit comfortably claiming victory by 54 runs.
After the side's Tuesday fixture called off, Carlile returned to form in his side’s first game on Wednesday, scoring 15 runs while taking 1/12 from his four overs with the ball.A second game scheduled for Wednesday afternoon was also abandoned.

Earlier in the month, the under-14 girls team returned to action after their opening game on December 1 against Highlanders was called off.
Despite going down by four wickets against Falcons, Echuca’s Grace Moyle starred.
The Victorian representative scored 20 runs at the top of the order, before producing stunning figures of 1/5 from four overs while Bamawm-Lockington United's Maddison Pearse took a wicket.
Rivers found their feet in the next game against the Waves as Moyle again performed strongly taking 2/19 as Pearse took 1/10 as the side won by just one run.
The side made it two straight wins in the next game against Mallee, running out 16-run winners.
Moyle (19 runs) and fellow opener Gemma Boyd (40 runs) got Rivers off to the perfect start against Spirit, but the side was unable to go on with the job as they went down by eight wickets.
During the side’s penultimate game of the tournament, a 40-over match against the Wizards, Rivers won by 29 runs as Moyle took two wickets.
And their tournament finished on a positive as Rivers ran out 11-run winners against Barwon.
Play also resumed in the under-17s girls competition earlier this month and it proved to be a difficult time for the Rivers outfit.
In the first game back against the Waves, Rivers were put to the sword as they went down by 10 wickets.
The side’s best performance came in the second match against Mallee as they finished the day as 25-run winners.
BLU’s Bree Styles was among the wicket takers with one from her three over spell, which cost 11 runs.
Rivers came back to earth with a thud in the next outing, losing by seven wickets, making just 64 from 20 overs.

In a hard-fought contest, Styles and Echuca’s Delaney Laffy took one wicket apiece.
While in the final game of the tournament against Barwon, Laffy claimed 2/21 and BLU’s Arielle Glatte took a wicket, as Rivers lost by 21 runs.
