On Saturday, Charlie Ryan (81 runs) and Waugh George (44 runs) led the way as Rochy shocked top side Kyabram Fire Brigade.
After dismissing KFB for just 82 on day one, Rochester adopted a patient approach to reach 6/176 from its 80 overs to secure a comfortable victory.
The result saw the Flames lose top spot to Moama while Rochester maintained a firm grip on fourth spot.
Rochester captain Sean Williams said he was pleased with the level of maturity Ryan and George showed at the crease.
“Both boys were excellent in the way they were able to deal with the situation,” he said.
“Charlie was able to play his shots from the moment he came to the crease because of the situation we found ourselves in and it was a pleasure to watch.
“For Waugh to face over 200 balls in an A grade game as a 16-year-old is a great effort. The more he develops, the quicker he is going to be making massive scores at this level.
“Winning those types of games will do wonders for the confidence of our younger guys heading into finals.”
And Rochy will have an opportunity to cement its place in the top four next week when they host fifth place Cooma at home.
“There's no doubting it is a massive game for our side,” Williams said.
“We've started to build some great momentum in the past few games and we don't want to go away from what has been working for us.
“I'm confident our best will be good enough to win.”
