What a welcome change it was to be able to play golf in the rain — there wasn’t a great deal but every little drop helps.

Our stroke winner Ray Peake had a magic round with 46-23-23 nett and Frank will now be working on his handicap.

Shirley McAsey was the runner-up with 58-23-35.

There were no NTP claimants.

Rod and Shirley had a countback for the putting which Rod won.

And Wayne Robinson was really pleased to claim the straightest drive on the 9th.

We are having our annual Australia Day event on Monday, January 27.

It will be a two person ambrose, followed by a barbecue lunch at a cost of $16 a pair.

Bring your own partner if you wish or just rock up and we’ll organise a partner for you.

There will be a 9am assembly for 9.30 hit off and we are playing nine holes only.
