On day two of Rochy's Goulburn Murray Cricket clash with Echuca South, the veteran opening batsman delivered for his side as they made light work of the visitors’ 191-run first innings total.
From the opening ball, Bubb looked well in control of his innings although he was eventually undone on 83, just 17 runs shy of a first century of the season.
And captain Sean Williams couldn't have been more impressed with the man affectionately known as "Bubby".
“He's been a terrific player for the club for an extended period of time,” Williams said.
“Whenever we need someone to stand up under pressure, "Bubby" is someone we can always rely on.
“Especially in this period of transition where we have several younger guys it's important to have someone who has plenty of experience around them.”
Bubb was well supported by Colby Wade who reached 60 before being run out.
Rochester will be hoping the pair can continue their form when they face off against Cooma in another two-day game starting on Saturday.
“It's certainly going to be a tough game,” Williams said.
“There is no easy games this season because the competition is as tight as it has been in the past few years.
“With momentum behind us, I think we can play with a lot of confidence.”
Before then, Rochy will play their second GMC T20 Challenge game against Kyabram Fire Brigade on Thursday evening.
They started in perfect fashion last week after defeating Echuca South by 20 runs.
