ROCHESTER’S A grade netballers went down by six goals to Kyabram in a tough Goulburn Valley League encounter on Sunday.

It was a great start by both teams with some fast and furious netball.
Morgan Dingwall and Sahra Brooks shot perfectly for the Tigerettes in the first half.
Ellie Cuttriss, Ella Roulston and Lillian Ward drove through mid-court with speed and change of direction.
Abbey Dingwall and Maddy Holt had a tough day at the office in defence as the Bombers continued to find ways to score.

B grade: After a tight first half, Rochester stamped its authority on the game in the second half.
Linda Rasmussen came on as goalkeeper at half-time and provided some tight defence alongside Rosy Miechel, denying the Kyabram goalers the ball.
With young gun Eliza Williams coming on and putting her body on the line, creating some great drives through the centre and also turning some balls over in favour of Rochester, the Tigerettes began to take control of the match.
Tess Ringin played a great defensive game, creating headaches for her opponent.
In a great team effort they fought hard in the second half to turn the game around.

B reserve: In a must win for the girls they started well with the shooters moving well in the ring together.
Kristen Moroney shot some amazing long bombs and both Maddie Frawley and Kristen rebounded well.
As the game went on their nerves got the better of them with some simple errors creeping in.
They needed to slow down and steady their passes.
With some fresh legs coming on at half-time Lizzy Ingram stepped into centre and Kristie Roulston into WA and that change saw some extra drive and space.
Zali Hocking held her player well in the ring and Grace Ingram took some timely intercepts.

Under 17s: With a nervous start with passes missing their targets, the Rochy girls needed to lift to turn the game around.
With some help from Eliza Williams and Elle Palmer, the Tigerettes kept the ball coming back into attack with continual defensive turnovers.
Kyabram increased its intensity after the quarter-time break but the Rochester defenders continued to create scoring opportunities for Tazarni Clarke and Matilda Lockyer.
Lizzie Ingram injected some movement into the goal ring whilst Tazarni and Ella McPhee moved the ball quickly into attack.
Emily Teggelove played tight on her opponent in the last quarter, creating crucial turnovers.
Best: Elle Palmer and Eliza Williams.
Scores: Rochester 41 d Kyabram 36.
Under 15s: The Rochester girls played some solid netball from the very first whistle, but simple errors like stepping crept into the game making it a tight start.
Teal Hocking made life difficult for her opponents and was nearly impossible to get past.
Leila Palmer held the attacking end up, shooting 40 of the team’s 51 goals.
The team showed their versatility with Krystal Conder and Charlee Roulston showing speed and accuracy in the goal circle.
The second half saw the girls play a better brand of netball with Ava Cottom getting hands on everything that came her way.
Ellie Moroney worked hard in the centre court creating turnovers and attacking plays.
Alex Ingram and Alannah Weeks played tirelessly moving the ball down the court.
Best: Leila Palmer and Ellie Moroney.

■ THE Rochester netballers will be hosting their Ladies Day which will be held on Saturday, July 27 starting at 12.30pm.
