Sunday proved to be a lovely roll-up for a game of stroke and the Monthly Medal, with Lynne and John appreciating the the coolish breeze after their electric cart died and they were forced to walk.

On the course, John Oakley romped it in for the day to take out the medal, while Ray Peake had a respectable score to be named runner-up.

Shane Bywaters was nearest the pin on the seventh (second shot), as well as the straightest drive on the fourth. Nearest the pin on the fifth went unclaimed.

Denise Pappin held the lucky card and made sure everyone was well aware of her birdie on the sixth.

This week is a stableford game, with an 11am hit-off.

The club is also running a par three, 12-hole competition.

The clubrooms will be open to watch the start of the race at 11am, and hit-off will be at noon.

The game is a two-person ambrose; $10 per person with food supplied after the game.
