Whether it’s the French elegance meets Italian passion and German rigour of the Bradenburg Orchestra or the strikingly distinctive guitarist, Hilary Geddes.
Both acts will be stopping by Deniliquin to perform for one night only at the South West Music headquarters in Cressy St.
The Australian Bradenburg Orchestra, also known as Baroque Fusions, celebrate a blend of Italian, French, German and Polish national styles.
You will hear featured music from Georg Philipp Telemann, one of the most prolific composers of all time and arguably the greatest exponent of the German mixed style alongside Bach, as well as the music of Vivaldi and others that inspire them.
The group is made up of Melissa Farrow on flute, Timothy Willis and Matthew Greco on violin, Marianne Yeomans on viola, Jamie Hey on cello and Tommie Andersson and Nicholas Pollock on theorbo and guitar.
Known for her distinctive sound, jazz musician Hilary Geddes is an emerging star of the Australian scene and a must-see performer.
Originally from Griffith, the Sydney-based guitarist and composer leads a quartet comprised of Sydney’s new generation of jazz stars.
Featuring the stellar Maximillian Alduca (double bass), Alexander Inman-Hislop (drums) and Matt Harris (piano), the quartet is beautifully synchronized to create unique sonic landscapes – expansive and uplifting music that echoes the likes of Bill Frisell and Ry Cooder.
Baroque Fusions will be performing at SWM regional conservatorium on Sunday, June 5 at 2pm.
You can purchase tickets now by heading to brandenburg.com.au/concerts/2022/baroque-fusions. Tickets range from $10 to $15.
