Police arrested a 32 year-old man in Jerilderie on June 10 in relation to four break-ins in the Jerilderie and Tocumwal areas between April and June this year.
Jewellery worth more than $1 million was reported stolen from one of the homes.
A search warrant was executed by Victoria Police in Yarrawonga the same day, where jewellery was found and seized.
The man was charged with aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, four counts of dispose property, five counts of goods suspected stolen, two counts of break and enter house, larceny and possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.
He was refused bail and appeared in Albury Local Court, where he was formally refused bail to appear in the same court on August 9.
Officers from Murray River Police District have been investigating since April, including any links between the four break-ins.
Following inquiries, a search warrant was executed at a home in Myrtle Park earlier this month, where police located power tools believed to be stolen.
Following further inquiries, the 32 year-old man was arrested at the intersection of Jerilderie Street and Bolton St, Jerilderie, about 9.30am on June 10.
During a search of the man’s vehicle, police report to have seized a cattle prod that appeared to have been modified into a homemade electronic stun device, a machete and fuel believed to be stolen.
The jewellery found by Victoria Police in Yarrawonga is believed to have been taken from a Tocumwal home.
