Established by The Dyson Group of Companies, incorporating the Cobb & Co brand, program manager Grant Deacon said the grants aim to support a range of community-based organisations at grassroots level.
He said the group was pleased to see the diversity in groups applying, from emergency services, education and sport, through to welfare and community groups.
“They all do such amazing work in support of their communities and we hope our support is of some value to them,” he said.
“The team at Dysons are excited to continue this program.”
Two rounds of funding were as available annually, each having $10,000 available though grants were limited to a maximum $1000.
Eligible organisations included pre-schools, schools, sporting clubs, not-for-profit groups, charities, welfare agencies, local societies and emergency services.
Mr Deacon said the group looked forward to helping more community groups “do their important local work”.
“We are encouraged by the stories we hear from these groups about their commitment to making their community a better place,” he said.
The next round of grants opened on September 1 and closed on September 30.
