The event will consist of four mini-festivals across Cobram, Yarrawonga, Nathalia and Numurkah, and will operate in conjunction with the shire’s four creative arts hubs.
Mayor Libro Mustica said the upcoming event would be “exciting”.
“Central to this will be an outdoor gallery and performing space and we are asking our local artists to apply to be part of this exhibition space,” Cr Mustica said.
“The exhibition is a key way for artists to explore with their stories, surroundings and the unique way of life in rural and regional Victoria.”
“We encourage those entering to experiment with ideas and show us that art is integral to everyday life.”
Works in the exhibition may be for sale without commission with all sales handled by artists directly; contact details will be made available at the exhibitions.
Artists who are interested will need to provide images of their work to be considered for selection and fill in a form, which must be emailed to info@moira.vic.gov.au by Monday, May 30. Artists will be contacted by email on May 31.
Artwork must be delivered on June 1 or 2 to the Moira Shire Cobram Service Centre (9am-4.30pm), Barmah Forest Heritage and Education Centre in Nathalia (10am-4pm), or the Moira Shire Yarrawonga Service Centre (9am-4.30pm).
