The event featured live music from Milkwood and other local acts, afternoon tea and a silent auction.
“Saturday was a great success,” hotel manager Julie Price said.
“We had people come from all around the area to come and enjoy the live music and everyone seemed to enjoy the day.
“Cornella Care provided afternoon tea for everyone and that was a great addition to the day.”
Julie said after seeing the fires devastating Australia, and similar events at other country hotels, she was inspired to join in.
“It’s all pretty helpless at the moment, so at least we can raise some money for people,” she said.
The hotel also chipped in with $1 from every pot sold from 2 pm until 6 pm, which added $100 to the cause.
The silent auction included a two-night stay at the Emeu Inn in Heathcote, among other great prizes.
“We thought about doing a big monster auction, but we figured this was the way to go,” she said.
“We had a lot of kind donations from all around and it was great to see everyone pitching in for such a great cause.”
