After their meetings the students learned many students starting kindergarten and school have difficulty reading. Acknowledging these gaps in the system, Theo Carty, Anna Lowe, Nash Hocking and their principal, Michelle Pudney, teamed up with Justin and Rachael Cleary from Rochester Caltex and Willow Café to provide them with various books.
“The students are looking forward to seeing more businesses support this worthy cause, as they believe it takes a village to help raise a child,” says Mrs Pudney.
The students encourage all Rochester and surrounding businesses to participate by simply placing a basket of well-kept books in their waiting areas.
