VICTORIAN secondary school students will have the chance to learn from industry-leading creatives as applications open for the Victorian Government’s Creative Learning Partnerships program.

Schools in northern Victoria can apply to partner with leading Victorian artists, writers, performers, designers and creative organisations with grants of up to $10,000 for a 20-day project with an individual creative professional or $35,000 for a longer residency with a creative organisation up for grabs.
The program enables schools to explore how creativity can strengthen education outcomes from Foundation to Year 10, including VET and VCAL.
"Creative Learning Partnerships presents a terrific opportunity for local schools to enliven curriculum and strengthen the learning experience for students with the help of some of Victoria’s best creative professionals," Member for Northern Victoria Mark Gepp said.
The program encourages applications from schools in rural areas and in previous years has seen successful partnerships that have combined face-to-face learning with virtual learning to connect students with their artists.
Applications close 5pm September 19.
Project activity must commence after April 14, 2020 and can occur at any time in terms two, three or four.
