Eleventh confirmed COVID-19 case in Moira Shire

Moira Shire has reported another confirmed case of COVID-19 today, with the total in the region now at 11.

It was the only recorded increase across northern Victoria today.

No details have been released about where the person lives in the shire, or their prior movements.

Greater Shepparton and Mitchell Shire have nine cases each, Benalla Rural City has three, and Campaspe Shire and Strathbogie Shire have reported two.

There was one new death yesterday, taking the state's death toll to 13.

The total number of cases in Victoria now stands at 1241, which is an increase of 13 cases from yesterday, and 229 cases are in regional areas.

However, 926 people in the state have recovered.

There remained 43 people in hospital, including 13 in intensive care.

Currently, there were 116 confirmed cases that authorities believe were contracted through community transmission.

More than 65 000 have been conducted, and several cases remain under investigation.
