Mulwala 32 def by Echuca United 41.
This week’s game was a game of lessons. Lots for the Lionesses collectively to work on in preparation for next week’s game. Cold windy conditions also made the usual fast paced game a much slower and more controlled match.
It was always going to be tough to come back from 12 down at the end of the first quarter but at the end of the day Mulwala will look inward before they look at blaming external factors.

Mulwala 45 def Echuca United 31.
A strong win for the Lions in very trying conditions. The wind made sure the Lionesses played a short, sharp game.
However that did nothing to deter the goalers Tayla and Hollie, who shot accurately all game. Defence was tight throughout and Hollie Bartlett played a calm and steady WA when the team needed to settle and reset.
Great game by all girls, well done.

Mulwala 35 drew with Echuca United 35.
The game started off strong and Echuca came out flying. In the second half the girls played amazing netball with a new look team. Shooters had their eyes in and the game ended in 35 all.
Well done girls.

After two weeks off it took a bit for Mulwala to get back into the groove of things. Echuca got a quick jump but they kept their heads up. Melissa held strong in defence as always with great support from Charli and Mikayla.
Tahlia used her body well against very strong defence. A strong training next week will have the Lionesses back to their best!

The girls came out firing this week, eager for another win for the season. It was a tight game from start to finish but unfortunately Echuca came away with the win.
The defenders worked hard all four quarters, causing numerous turnovers. A great team effort girls, everyone played their role.

Another great game this week in really windy conditions. Maisee and Taylah were relentless with their hands over pressure and countless intercepts. Emily worked the ring well to get herself in a better position and followed up with accurate shooting. Well done girls.

All girls gave 110% and should be proud of what they achieved. The passing improved this game and the defensive pressure was great, but Echuca were just too good.
Not sure what the Echuca girls are fed for dinner as they seemed to be a head taller than the Mulwala girls, but the Lionesses will find out and let all the parents know!

Great start to the game with Zali and Remi shooting and Scarlett and Rianna in defence. Changes to shooter in the second quarter saw great ring work and accurate shooting from new combinations Addison and Jade.
Lucy, Poppy and Layla got lots of intercepts throughout the midcourt during the game. Overall great team effort!
Awards: Paradise Palms - Poppy Kirchen, Food Mill on Bayley - Lucy Combs, Zambreros – Zali Mathison.
