A warm sunny day bought beautiful netball conditions for the day. Last week the A Grade had specific goals and plans and the girls worked hard at implementing them.
Polly McRae had the game of the season and showed confidence in strength in GS and GA, combining seamlessly with the dynamic Brylee McCarty in goals.
Abby Coghill played a solid defensive game providing great hands over and drive down the court. Jedda Nolen tirelessly worked through the whole game, providing great defensive pressure and options for the attack end.
Super proud of the focus on the 3 key targets for this game and the A Grade will continue to work on this going into the last home and away game.
Well done to another super team game and improving again on the intensity needed for finals.
Awards: One Zach - Polly McRae, Yarra Hotel - Abbey Coghill, Yarra News & Gifts - Jedda Nolen and Zambreros - Brylee McCarty.

The girls headed to Blighty following the fog that eventually cleared up to become nice and sunny.
This week the girls showed how well they have bonded as a team this year despite the many different combinations used throughout the whole court. Jemma Adkins started in the backline and got her hands on multiple intercepts and deflections.
Kayla, Ella and Heleena played consistent defence pressure allowing for the turn overs to pop up.
The ever-consistent Brooke was reliable and pulled in some impressive balls. Laynee provided some fresh legs and much needed agility within the midcourt. Laura, Ebony and Sophie worked well together in goals which is shown with the amazing win B Grade had this week.
Kudos to all girls for cheering each other on throughout the whole game.
Awards: Mulwala Bakery - Jemma Adkins, ClubMulwala - Brooke McDougall, Miss Dolly - Laynee Rhodes and Redback Waste - Ella Rhodes.
C Grade

The girls headed to Blighty this week for a hot sunny game. The girls came out firing this week showing that even a bye can’t stop these girls lately.
Sarah, Haylee and Zoe worked hard in goals. Zoe being new to the team was a great asset this week and she fits in beautifully with the C Grade girls.
The midcourt consisted of Georgia, Nada, Lacey and Taya who all did their jobs beautifully giving strong drives and strong defence.
Taya was a standout this week showing that WD is where she shines and the C Grade couldn’t have had a better defence without her.
The defenders Rach, Ally and Georgie all worked together perfectly as usual. These three are an unstoppable team. Well done girls.
Awards: Mulwala Bakery - Taya Davey, Yarra Hotel - Ally Thrumble, Free as a bird - Sarah Cummins and Mulwala Pharmacy - Zoe McKenzie.

C Res Hoppers? More like C Res Can’t be Stoppers! The girls absolutely smoked the court in Blighty, the CFA almost paid a visit.
Everyone on the team this week pulled their weight accordingly with mid court executing neat and tidy centre passes.
The defence were like a seagull to a chippy picking those rebounds off the ring and chasing up rogue balls and passes.
The shooters were also ELITE, even when Lennie ran straight into the post, still managed to tip one in after.
With a 45 to 16 win the girls were feeling pretty lucky.
One last hurdle to go next week, let’s go.
Awards: Mulwala Bakery - Leonie Higgins, Yarra Hotel - Tegan Lee, Showcase Jewellers - Amy Smith, Belles Cafe - Mykie McBurnie and Players player - Mel Bourke, Amy Smith, Leonie Higgins and Eden McKinnon.

After another week off, the girls came to training with the energy they knew they would need for this week.
With minimal warm up time, the girls came onto the court raring to get their hands on the ball and working together as a team.
Georgia Phillips was a star on the court, with intercept after intercept and her ability to help move the ball from defence into attack.
Mykie McBurnie proved that hard work and consistency at training does pay off, and was able to lose her player with strong drives and body positioning.
Eliza Robilliard returned to the court this week after a little vacay overseas and wow, did she prove why she is on this team.
Her natural ability to hold in the ring and create space for her partnered goaler shows talent and netball knowledge beyond her years.
Laynee Rhodes as always was a showstopper on the court with her speed, eye for the ball and leadership.
Without her passing and quick feet it would have been a very different game. Well done to the other girls who gave it their all and again were able to come away with a win.
Awards: Zambreros- Georgia Phillips, Mulwala Bakery - Mykie McBurnie, Rhodes Family - Eliza Robilliard and Ali Baba Kebab - Laynee Rhodes.

A slow start from the girls saw Blighty come out swinging. It took a few minutes for the girls to find their feet but once they found their feet they were away.
The defence was dominated by Tess, Soph, Charlotte and Chelsea who pulled every ball in with two hands and had hands over pressure on every ball.
Iris, Darla, and Mia took control of the midcourt with their strong drives and defensive efforts.
Beautiful moving and creation of space from Mabel, Demi and Alani saw many scoring opportunities.
Another fantastic win as Rennie head into the final round against Katty next week. Well done girls!
Awards: Mulwala Bakery - Darla Lawless, PM Junior Dev - Tess Bassett, Rhodes Family - Mabel Cope and Athenaeum - Mia Brogan.

Another great team game for the girls against Blighty. Blighty came out firing, playing a fast game which took a little while to settle and slow down and play the Hoppers game.
There was lots of great teamwork and the things that the Under 13s worked on in training were used in the game which was amazing. Great game Hoppers!
Awards: Mulwala Bakery - Kate Giblett, Rhodes family - Makayla George, Atheneum - Azaria McBurnie and Ricky D’s - Isabel Bruce.

A foggy start to the day in Blighty. The girls played really well but needing to remember to spread out and use their 3 seconds wisely.
There were a few really good shots at goal, with the whole team giving it their all. The coaches can’t wait for next week to celebrate minis day.
Awards: This week all the girls who received awards made the decision to donate their awards to teammate Ella Gorski.
