Under 17s: The girls started well to lead by six goals at quarter time and 10 goals by half-time. The third quarter saw the young Tigers score 20 goals to 11 and the result was never in doubt, in the end they ran out winners by 30 goals. A super effort by the defenders forced many turnovers and provided our shooters with many more opportunities.

B reserve: Rochester had a strong first quarter to lead by three goals at quarter-time. The second quarter saw Mooroopna match Rochester for goals and the margin remained the same, it wasn’t until the final quarter when Rochester burst away and scored 14 to six to win by 15 goals.

B grade: The B grade girls had a ripper first quarter to take a comfortable lead. Our girls played a great defensive game leading onto the ball well and driving towards the ball. Sarah Ingram played well driving hard and defending well causing many turnovers in mid-court along with Tess Ringin who shut her player out of the game with her fancy footwork. Jaime Dingwall moved well in the ring combining well with Tammy Mcintosh to shoot with accuracy. Shannon Keath drove well through the centre whilst Linda Rasmussen and Sarah West worked tirelessly in defence.

A grade: It was another tough day at the office for our A grade girls, Mooroopna got the jump on our girls and never looked back. Rosy Miechel and Maddy Holt tried hard in defence whilst Ellie Cuttriss, Lilian Ward and Ella Roulston worked tirelessly through the mid-court. Sahra Brooks and Morgan Dingwall shot well when given the opportunity. Mooroopna were too strong but our girls never gave up and battled it out to the end.
