ROUND seven of the Elmore Midweek Ladies Tennis was full of close contests on Tuesday, with four courts tied three sets apiece, only separated by games won, and no match result greater than eight games.
In section one, ladder leaders Peacocks were pushed by the Herons but despite being equal on sets, a strong day by team captain Chloe Whitfield helped them home with the win.
In the other match, the Doves, with fill-in Katie Condliffe on fire, were too strong for the Rosellas, winning on sets and games.
Section two saw top of the ladder Toucans battle it out against the second placed Wrens, with the leaders relegated to second spot after a two game loss.
Georgina Roberts was victorious in all her sets helping the Wrens to win for the day.
Jacki Brown also proved handy by only dropping five games against her for the day, helping team Robins defeat the Magpies.
Although the Finches pulled off a win against the Pelicans by two sets, it was one of the closest scoresheets for the day with only 3 games separating them.
