The workshops will take place from 10am to 11am and midday to 1pm at Railway Place, Midland Highway, Elmore.
Bendigo Council Resource Recovery and Education Manager Brooke Pearce said the workshops are part of the council’s ongoing commitment to reducing and reusing waste.
“The City is inviting residents to come along to a workshop and learn how to compost at home from one of Australia’s most passionate gardening gurus,” Ms Pearce said.
“We are holding the workshops in Elmore particularly for residents who live outside of the City’s organics collection area so they can learn the many benefits of composting. However the workshops are also open to anyone who is interested in learning how to compost at home.
“We are also encouraging people to bring along a re-useable cup to receive a free coffee.”
