The Loddon Mallee Rapid Response Testing Team, along with staff from Bendigo Health, will offer the testing between 10am and 4pm.
REDHS chief executive Karen Laing is urging anyone with even the mildest of symptoms to present for testing on the day.
“No matter how mild you feel your symptoms are, please come and get tested. You should also present for testing if you have any concerns about COVID-19,” she said.
“It is important that people continue to get tested at the first sign of symptoms and I urge anyone to please use this opportunity to get tested while the testing team is visiting locally.”
Tests results take approximately 48 to 72 hours to be returned.
It is also important to self-isolate after your test and remain isolated until you no longer have any symptoms.
Further to the community testing initiative, if you are a commercial passenger vehicle driver or a food delivery driver, this is an opportunity to support the industry drive to be tested for coronavirus on this day — you will be provided specific direction on isolation at the time of your test from the COVID-19 testing team members.
COVID-19 symptoms include fever, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, cough and a loss of taste or smell.
The clinic will be held at 1 Pascoe Street from 10am until 4pm.
Entry is via the Urgent Care Centre at the rear of the health service.
