A CARERS’ support group is coming to Rochester.
The group will provide information, peer support and recreational opportunities for local carers with monthly meetings.
Rochester Community House will hold the first meeting on Wednesday, June 13 at 10am.
“Carers are people who provide unpaid care and support to family members and friends who have a disability, mental illness, chronic condition, terminal illness, an alcohol or drug issue or who are frail aged,” Community House coordinator Amanda Logie said.
“Carers come from all backgrounds and range from the very young to the elderly and caring may include emotional, social and physical support.”
If you are interested in joining the group, contact Amanda on 5484 3600.
