A BEAUTIFUL sunny afternoon greeted the Rochester Primary School grade 3-6 students on Monday last week as they participated in the school cross country.
It was fantastic to see so many students run as hard as they could to produce their best effort.
The attitude of all the children in the race was really positive and the children should be proud of their efforts.
Children had to run inside certain times to qualify for the next stage, the Zone Cross Country in Echuca on the May 18.
The stand-out runner for the day was Jordan Town, who ran a brilliant 12 minutes and 57 seconds for 3km.
Charlize Weeks was the first girl runner over the line, running 3km in 16 minutes and 34 seconds.
An entertaining sprint to the finish by Kade Pearse and Cale James ended up in a draw for the 2km winner.
Thanks to all the parents who came along and helped out and supported the children.
