PEOPLE of Rochester have the chance to contribute to a major research study and earn some money for the community.
Rochester was one of six regional towns selected to be part of a study conducted by Deakin University.
The study will investigate the eating habits of rural Victorians and $10 will be donated to Rochester Community House and Rochester and Elmore District Health Service (REDHS) for every follow-up survey completed.
The online survey runs in two parts, the first part to be completed by March 25 and the follow-up to be done in August.
Rochester Community House co-ordinator Amanda Logie said people would be helping the community by contributing to the research.
“Rochester will receive a summary report of what the people in their town eat and the money being donated is an added bonus,” she said.
“People will receive flyers in the mail soon with instructions on how to complete the survey.
“It takes about 30 minutes and one adult per household can take part.
“There are services at the Community House and REDHS to complete the survey if people can’t do it from home.”
