Life’s a beach for Perth artist

PAUL Scott will travel from Perth’s beautiful coastline to Rochester.

A previous contender in Jamestown, South Australia, and Sheffield in Tasmania, Paul is looking forward to seeing Rochester and capturing the spirit of the town.

Paul was a finalist at the 2012 Bald Archy Awards (a cartoon spin-off of the Archibald) and his submission subsequently travelled Australia on display for 12 months.

His art style has developed through experimentation, interest and collaboration with other artists.

He leans towards a surrealism approach by blending mood and atmosphere. He also strives to instil Australiana and the beach culture into his pieces.

Many of his works feature his cartoon style to help capture the mood and subtle movement.

In his pieces, Paul shows his love for individualism in each brushstroke.

Paul has an abiding respect for the ocean and hopefully at Rochy we get to see all of it.
