Roy Lewis romped home to be the niners winner (47-16-31), well ahead of runner up Ray Peake (52-141/2-371/2). Ray also won the putting 14 on a count back from Roy Lewis.

Rod McAsey did his usual thing and claimed the straightest drive on the ninth.

There were no NTP winners.

The Wednesday ladies had a Florrie Bickley day.

Florrie had (52-14-38) to defeat Shirley McAsey (61-171/2-431/2).

No NTP winners, but Florrie had the straightest drive 3rd, the putting and the raffle.

Last Sunday’s GMDGA summer 4 ball match play was cancelled due to the extreme heat policy, all teams will have a bye over the Australia Day weekend and the next round will be at the beautiful Shepparton golf club on Sunday February 4, names to Leigh Hicks.

Graham Willis (41), Peter Anderson (40) came third in their respective grades at Rich River last Tuesday, Des Gallaghers 38 was not quite enough to win him a ball, while Bruce Major took out the nearest the pin with a superb shot to within 2m on the difficult 13th east.
