CHRISTMAS has arrived in Rochester.
The Rochester Shire Hall was overflowing with Christmas trees and decorations on the weekend for the annual Anglican Church Christmas tree exhibition.
But sadly it will be the final one.
Church member Wyn Hodgens said although the exhibition was a highlight on the Rochy calendar they were unable to run it next year.
‘‘We are simply getting too old,’’ she said.
Wyn thanked the Rochester community and district for their support.
‘‘You have helped us to bring so much pleasure, joy and wonder to so many people young and old over the past twelve years,’’ she said.
‘‘To the children and their teachers who have spent so much time in assisting the children to make so many beautiful decorations.
‘‘We are happy to support any organisation that feels they would like to keep up the tradition.’’
