IT DIDN’T go for that long but Two Weeks was all that was needed.
The Two Weeks Quilt Exhibition featured work from mother and daughter team Jenny and Megan Weeks and was held at Rochester’s old court house on the weekend.
More than 70 handcrafted pieces hang across three rooms with the exhibition aimed at showing the town what the old building can hold.
‘‘We were asked by Heather from the Rotary club to do an exhibition to highlight the different things that the hall can be used for,’’ Jenny said.
‘‘We have been working on some of the pieces for a few years now and it is really nice to see them all on display.
‘‘All the money from the door went to the Rotary club to help maintain the building.’’
Jenny said the building can be used for a range of things.
‘‘Everything from dinners, to art shows, to a small wedding,’’ she said. ‘‘The lighting is really good and the beautiful big ceilings are incredible.’’
