ROCHESTER Secondary College’s Class of 2017 roared into their final school assembly last week painting their fellow students with glitter, silly string and confetti.

Principal Bernie Altmann and Year 12 coordinator Todd Woodfine both thanked the parents, friends and teachers of the graduating class for their on-going support during the students’ 13 years of school.

Mr Altmann and Mr Woodfine shared words of wisdom with the students, who are about to sit their VCE exams.

School captains Ryan Oogjes and Genevieve Foott thanked a few special members of staff for their guidance and congratulated their mates on the hard work they’d put in throughout the year.

The school captains were joined by sports captain Darcy Thompson, arts captain Holly Gleeson-Brown and SRC president Stephanie Else in sharing fond and funny memories of the tight-knit group’s time at Rochester College.

Cheers and applause for each individual student filled the hall as photos of their schooling life were displayed.

At the close of the assembly, hugs, tears and laughter were shared by the graduating class in celebration of the end of their schooling chapter.
