Senior Constable Shane Weeks said at 315 am a blue 2007 Mitsubishi Triton utility was impounded in Rochester by the Rochester night shift van.

"A 24-year-old Rochester male was intercepted in Bridge Rd driving the unregistered vehicle which was displaying false number plates," he said.

"The male was also unlicensed to drive and has never held a licence.

"The vehicle was impounded for 30 days and the cost to recover the vehicle will be $950."

Snr Constable Weeks said the same man was also caught driving the same vehicle 13 days earlier.

"The male will be charged by summons to attend at the Echuca Magistrates Court," he said.
