ROCHESTER’S Active Nation Day is back.
The day to celebrate all things health, wellness and fitness in town is being held on Sunday, September 24 at Rochester Shire Hall.
The inaugural Active Nation Day in 2016 run by Jen’s Personal Training for Women saw more than 20 women participate.
Rochester Community House has teamed up with Jen to make this year’s event bigger and better.
‘‘We will have various free fitness classes running during the day, including boxing with Chris from Go-AT Fitness, yoga with Leanne and Rochester Community House will be launching our new pilates classes,’’ community house coordinator Amanda Logie said.
‘‘The day will be free for all who want to attend and we will cater for all ages and fitness levels.
‘‘We really want to use our Active Nation Day to showcase the importance of health, wellness and fitness and to show the services and products available in Rochester.’’
Ms Logie said it was an opportunity for businesses to promote their services and products.
‘‘They will be able to gain more customers and be involved in a wonderful day celebrating health and fitness in our great little town,’’ she said.
‘‘You can bring along products to sell on the day, perform treatments or hand out brochures or catalogues.
‘‘There is an opportunity to set up a table or stall inside the community house but space is limited and we will need to confirm attendance and space required as soon as possible.’’
The day will run from 10am to 1pm.
