ROCHESTER’S Darren Chugg Plumbing has a new home.

The business’s application to buy the Campaspe Shire Council land at 10 Mallooy St, Rochester was approved on Tuesday.

For the past 13 years, Darren Chugg Plumbing has been servicing the Rochester and district area and has been using a home as its base.

Councillor Neil Pankhurst said it was great to see a business growing in the town.

‘‘In the face of the closure of the Murray Goulburn factory it is always good to see another business thriving,’’ he said.

‘‘During this difficult time it is important to still see growth.

‘‘It is great economically for us to sell this land to further a local business.’’
