THE Lockington Vintage Tractor and Machinery Rally is reaching a major milestone of its own this weekend — it is turning 20.
The annual event housed at the Lockington and District Living Heritage Complex is a popular weekend for hundreds of people each year who flock to see one of the region’s largest annual displays of working vintage tractors, stationary engines, steam engines, trucks, motorcycles, cars and farm machinery.
The event spread across two days on April 22 and 23 will this year coincide with the Lockington community garage sale.
Maps of properties that are taking part in the bumper sale will be available at the Lockington District Business Centre.
A wildlife exhibit will also be available on the Sunday.
The special feature this year is a static display of ‘‘cropping in the twenties’’ which will see a harvester, scarifier, plough and swingle trees on display.
The event is open to everyone and will run from 10am-4pm on Saturday and 9am-4pm on Sunday.
Entry is just $5 per person, with primary school children admitted free.
